Manchester United Reveal Squad For Champions League Clash With Bayern Munich

Manchester United have confirmed the squad that will travel to Germany to take on Bayern Munich in their UEFA Champions League group stage opener on Wednesday.

Erik ten Hag will take a 21-man group to the Allianz Arena for the 8pm BST kick-off in what is always a highly anticipated fixture between the two European giants.

There are four new summer signings included in the squad with goalkeepers Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana, as well as midfielders Rasmus Hojlund and Sergio Reguilon all hoping for their Champions League debuts for United.

Youngsters Hannibal, Dan Gore and Omari Forson have also been selected after impressive performances for the youth and reserves teams in recent weeks. Hannibal in particular will be hoping for minutes after scoring his first United goal at the weekend.

However, United will be without captain Harry Maguire due to injury as he adds to Ten Hag’s list of absentees for the Group A clash in Munich.

It promises to be a tough test for the Red Devils as they look to get their Champions League campaign off to a strong start against tuchel’s all-conquering Bayern side.

But with new signings and youthful exuberance in their ranks, United will be aiming to pull off an upset on Bayern’s own turf.
