Liverpool FC Completes Signing of Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich
Liverpool FC has officially announced the signing of Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich, completing a deal that could reach a total of £38.5 million, depending on various performance-based add-ons. The 21-year-old’s move to Liverpool comes after a challenging season at Bayern Munich, where he had joined from Ajax in a £20 million deal last summer. Liverpool had been closely monitoring Gravenberch even before his move to Bayern, and they have now secured his services for an initial fee of £34.25 million, with the potential for an additional £4.25 million in add-ons, according to sources at This Is Anfield.
As an international player for the Netherlands, Gravenberch joins Liverpool as part of the club’s midfield rebuilding process, following the arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Wataru Endo. Gravenberch will wear the squad number 38 at Liverpool and expressed his enthusiasm for the new chapter in his career, stating, “Now we start fresh again, a new start.
