Liverpool are hard at work preparing for their Europa League opener against LASK on Thursday night.

Liverpool’s squad were all smiles in training on Wednesday as they stepped up preparations for the start of their Europa League campaign away to LASK on Thursday night.

Jurgen Klopp led a session with 25 players at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby, minus the absent Trent Alexander-Arnold and Thiago Alcantara.

The Reds are gearing up to kick off Group E against Austrian side LASK, who pose the toughest test out of Liverpool’s three opponents.

Despite dropping out of the Champions League for the first time in seven years, the mood in the camp appears upbeat ahead of the European opener.

New signings Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai were among those in high spirits during the final training session before the match.

Liverpool will be aiming to start strongly by picking up maximum points against LASK on Thursday.
