Szoboszlai started all three of Liverpool’s Premier League games in August, helping them take 7 points from a possible 9. His performances against Bournemouth and Newcastle particularly stood out.
After collecting the award, Szoboszlai said: “It’s a really good feeling. Thanks to all those who voted for me. I’m just doing my thing, helping the team and happy I can do my best.”
“The start was also a surprise for me, but thanks to the guys and the manager. It’s easier with people helping me. I’m trying to do my best for the team.”

The 22-year-old has made a seamless transition to life in the Premier League since his summer arrival from RB Leipzig. His vision, passing range and goal threat have added a new dimension to Liverpool’s midfield.
Szoboszlai is hungry for more, saying: “I think there’s always more to come. I can improve a lot by taking advice from players here almost 7 years or more.”
After lighting up August, the Reds’ new number 8 will look to build on his early success and become a key player under Klopp this season.
