Salah Shares Wisdom with Refugees During LFC Foundation Session
Mohamed Salah shared his life experiences and advice with a group of refugees during a session run by the LFC Foundation.
The Liverpool forward surprised 20 participants and took part in a Q&A, discussing challenges on the pitch and importance of life off it.
Salah watched the group play football mini-games before speaking individually to two young refugees about their journeys.
“If you have a good vision and work hard, all your dreams will happen,” Salah said. “You just need to really work hard and be able to sacrifice.”
LFC Foundation CEO Matt Parish said Salah’s visit clearly inspired the participants. “As a hero to so many, Mo was able to inspire these young men,” he said.

The Foundation works with over 900 refugees through weekly football sessions to help integrate them into the community.
This session was part of a 10-week employability programme combining skills development and using sport for wellbeing. It has benefited 38 refugees since March 2023.
Salah emphasised the importance of belief, hard work and sacrifice to achieve goals. His words of wisdom clearly resonated with the refugee group.
