Reports: Liverpool Haven’t Forgotten Interest in Fluminense Midfielder Andre

Liverpool reportedly have not forgotten about their interest in Fluminense midfielder Andre, with a potential move in January.
The Reds added Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo over the summer. But recent matches have highlighted their need for another midfielder.
Jurgen Klopp’s reluctance to use Endo has seen Mac Allister remain the lone No.6 option, raising doubts over his suitability there long-term.
The Echo’s Ian Doyle says Liverpool “have not forgotten” about Andre, who they enquired about in the last window, and “haven’t parked their interest.”
Though a January pursuit isn’t confirmed, the club would not be “overly worried the chance has now gone.”
Andre is likely to leave Fluminense after their season ends in December. Club president Mario Bittencourt previously told ESPN Liverpool could return then.
With over 60 games possible for Andre in 2023, he’d need time off before adjusting if a January move happened. But it could be a long-term solution to Liverpool’s midfield issues.
