Roberto Firmino Scores Hat Trick in Al Ahli's Ope

Roberto Firmino made a dream start to his Al-Ahli career on Friday, scoring a hat-trick in the club’s 3-1 win over Al-Hazem in the opening game of the 2023-24 Roshn Saudi League season.

The Brazilian striker, who joined Al-Ahli from Liverpool in the summer, was in inspired form at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium, scoring all three of his goals in the first half.

Firmino opened the scoring in the sixth minute, heading home from a cross by Ali Majrashi. He doubled his tally four minutes later, finishing off a flowing move involving Mahrez and Saint-Maximin.

And he completed his hat-trick in the 33rd minute, firing home from close range after a mistake by Edouard Mendy.

Al-Hazem pulled a goal back through Vina in the second half, but it was not enough to prevent Al-Ahli from claiming a comfortable victory.
