Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is believed to be reluctant to do business with a Premier League rival, and Man United are said to be wary of being drawn into a long transfer saga.

Nonetheless, the England captain remains the leading target for the Red Devils, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has also been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford, with the Nigeria international having helped fire his side to Serie A title success during the 2022-23 campaign.

However, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has insisted that Osimhen will not be leaving the Italian club during this summer’s transfer window.

Another player on Man United’s shortlist is Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani.

The France international’s future is the subject of speculation, with Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid also reportedly interested in the forward.

Atalanta BC’s Rasmus Hojlund is also reportedly being watched, with the Denmark international having scored eight goals and registered three assists in 30 appearances this season.

He has scored 25 goals and provided 11 assists in 43 appearances at club level this season and is believed to be on the radar of a number of European clubs this summer.

The 22-year-old is well-known to Man United head coach Erik ten Hag following their time together in Amsterdam.

Kudus has scored 18 goals and registered five assists in 38 appearances for the Dutch giants this season and could be available for a relatively low fee in the upcoming market.

It remains to be seen which striker Man United will ultimately sign, but the club is determined to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

The team’s attacking options have been a key area of concern, and a new striker could be just what they need to mount a serious challenge for major trophies in the 2023-24 campaign.
