Real Madrid Veteran Dani Carvajal Set to Miss Four Matches Due to Injury

Real Madrid are facing an injury crisis, and it seems that Dani Carvajal’s problem is worse than initially feared. Coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Carvajal would miss their Champions League opener against Union Berlin, but there was hope that he could return for their derby against Atletico Madrid. However, a scan revealed that the injury would keep him out against Atletico as well.

According to Relevo, Carvajal’s injury has not developed well, and he will be out for a further ten days. This means he will also miss the matches against Las Palmas at home and the away trip to Girona. There is a possibility that he could be available for their clash against Napoli in the Champions League, but given his history of muscle problems, Ancelotti is unlikely to risk him.

In Carvajal’s absence, either Lucas Vazquez or Nacho Fernandez will take over right-back duties for the next three matches, depending on the tactical profile Ancelotti chooses. Both players have experience playing in that position and will be looking to fill the void left by Carvajal’s absence.

This injury comes at an unfortunate time for both Carvajal and Real Madrid. The veteran right-back had started the season in excellent form, showcasing his skills and contributing to the team’s success. His absence will be felt, but the team will have to adapt and find alternative solutions to overcome this setback.
