Real Madrid stars were stuck outside the airport before the Manchester City match

Real Madrid team bus was delayed by over 40 minutes when they arrived at Manchester Airport on Tuesday, ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg against Manchester City.

The team had touched down in England’s north-west, with the tie delicately poised at 1-1 after the first leg.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti and his players were left waiting outside the airport for over 40 minutes, before the bus eventually arrived.

Karim Benzema and Luka Modric were among the players who were seen milling around outside the airport, while Ancelotti looked visibly frustrated.

The delay is unlikely to have helped Real Madrid’s preparations for the match, but they will be hoping to overcome City and reach the Champions League final for the second time in three years.
