Liverpool have been linked with a move for Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde this off-season. However, reports suggest that Madrid have rejected any potential transfer for the Uruguayan player. According to former Liverpool goalkeeper Chris Kirkland, Real Madrid may need to offload a player or two to fund an extravagant move for Kylian Mbappe next season. Valverde could be a possible candidate for a transfer, as he is not a guaranteed starter in any of the positions he can play.

Valverde’s qualities make him an exciting prospect for any club, with his mobility, athleticism, versatility, and eye for goal. He would be a great addition to Liverpool’s midfield, alongside new signing Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister. However, even if Real Madrid wanted to sell Valverde, it is unlikely that he would end up at Liverpool, given that he is a highly sought-after player who would attract interest from several other clubs.

Previous reports have suggested that Valverde and Real Madrid are happy together and do not plan on separating. Moreover, Madrid recently renewed the contracts of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Dani Ceballos, which could indicate that they are not actively looking to sell any of their midfielders.

In conclusion, while Liverpool may have been linked with a move for Federico Valverde, it is unlikely that Real Madrid would be willing to sell him. Even if they did, Valverde would likely attract interest from several other top clubs and it remains to be seen where he will end up next season.
