Newcastle target Szoboszlai has revealed he wants to play under Klopp, Guardiola and Mourinho

Dominik Szoboszlai, the talented midfielder of RB Leipzig and the Hungarian national team, has revealed that he hopes to play under some of the top football managers in the world.

In an interview with Hungarian news outlet Index, Szoboszlai named Liverpool Jurgen Klopp, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, and Roma’s Jose Mourinho as managers he would love to work with in the future.

“It would certainly be a special experience to work under Klopp, as it would be under Guardiola or Mourinho,” Szoboszlai told Index. “Only the best footballers are given all this opportunity, however. I believe I can reach that level, and it would be great to work with any of them one day.”

Szoboszlai’s comments come as he is reportedly a transfer target for Newcastle United, who are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been a standout performer for RB Leipzig since joining the club from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2021. He has scored three goals and provided five assists in 18 Bundesliga appearances for the club.

Szoboszlai’s impressive performances have also caught the attention of the Hungarian national team, for whom he has scored five goals in 14 appearances.

The midfielder’s desire to work under some of the world’s best managers is a testament to his ambition and determination to reach the top of the game. Klopp, Guardiola, and Mourinho are widely regarded as three of the most successful and innovative managers in modern football, and working under any one of them would be a valuable experience for any young player.
