Manchester United vs Wolves
The Theatre of Dreams Welcomes Wolves

Manchester United will play their first match of the new Premier League season at Old Trafford, nicknamed the “Theatre of Dreams”, against Wolves tonight. This will be Wolves’ first game under interim manager Gary O’Neil, who replaced Julen Lopetegui after he was sacked just days ago.

The Red Devils are starting their second season under Erik ten Hag and are in good form and spirits heading into the new campaign. Meanwhile, Wolves are going through turmoil with their management change.

Ten Hag has overcome some difficult periods since taking over last season, when United finished third in the league and won the EFL Cup. Now it is time to start getting results.

In pre-season, United won friendlies against Leeds United, Lyon and Arsenal but lost to Wrexham, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund despite rotating lineups.

Andre Onana will make his Premier League debut in goal for United after joining from Inter Milan. Mason Mount could also start after his loan move from Chelsea.

Wolves have doubts over Matheus Cunha’s fitness and have lost attackers Diego Costa and Raul Jimenez. Sasa Kalajdzic and Fabio Silva may start up front. Nathan Collins, Ruben Neves, Adama Traore, Joao Moutinho and Conor Coady have also departed the squad.
