Manchester United is reportedly making a move for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund. The talented Danish forward has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the Red Devils, and negotiations are now underway to finalize a transfer fee with his current club.

According to Sportitalia’s Alfredo Pedulla, United is set to make a new bid for Hojlund on Monday, with intermediaries already in action over the weekend.

Atalanta has reportedly set their asking price for the striker at €65-70m, a fee that United will likely have to meet if they want to secure the player’s services.

Hojlund has emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting young strikers in recent years, with his performances for Atalanta catching the eye of several top clubs.

The 22-year-old scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 32 Serie A appearances last season, helping Atalanta to a third-place finish in the league.

United has been in the market for a new striker for some time, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to add more firepower to his squad.

The club has been linked with several high-profile names this summer, including Harry Kane and Erling Haaland, but as yet, no deals have materialized.

Hojlund would represent a more affordable option for United, but still, one with plenty of potential.

The striker has been compared to former United forward Robin van Persie for his technical ability, finishing, and movement off the ball.

Of course, negotiations with Atalanta will not be straightforward, and United will need to be prepared to pay a significant fee for Hojlund’s services.

However, if they can get a deal over the line, it could be the start of a bright new era at Old Trafford.
