It is said that Manchester United are not willing to spend more than £60m for the services of the youngster, while his club, FC Midtjylland, are holding out for a higher fee. It remains to be seen whether a deal can be struck between the two sides.

In addition to Hojlund, Manchester United are also said to be interested in signing Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. The 24-year-old, who impressed at the World Cup last year, has been linked with a move to a number of top clubs, including Liverpool.

Fiorentina, Amrabat’s current club, have reportedly placed a £35m price tag on the player. However, if an official offer from a top club doesn’t arrive, Amrabat is said to be happy to stay in Italy.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s current right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is reportedly set to be offered a new contract by the club.

Wan-Bissaka, who was signed for £50m in 2019, has impressed manager Erik ten Hag with his performances and the Dutchman is keen to tie him down to a new deal.

However, it remains to be seen whether Wan-Bissaka will sign a new contract or seek a move elsewhere.

Finally, there is news of a departure from Old Trafford, with left-back Alex Telles officially joining Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.

The Brazilian, who joined Manchester United from Porto last year, struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has now moved on.

Another player who could be on his way to Al-Nassr is centre-back Eric Bailly, who is said to be of interest to the Saudi Pro League team. The Ivorian could reportedly be available for as little as £2m.

In conclusion, Manchester United are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season with a number of potential signings. However, they may need to increase their offer for Rasmus Hojlund if they want to secure his services, while Sofyan Amrabat remains a target for a number of top clubs.
