Manchester United are reportedly considering a deal for Paris Saint-Germain’s star striker, Kylian Mbappe. The Red Devils are said to be willing to enter a bidding war with Real Madrid and Liverpool for the French forward.

With Bayern Munich showing interest in United’s top target Harry Kane, the club is said to be exploring other options for a marquee signing.

Mbappe, who is only 24 years old, would be an ideal addition to the team, not only for his talent on the pitch but also for his global appeal, which could boost the club’s commercial revenue.

Mbappe has not yet signed a contract extension with PSG, and the club is becoming increasingly impatient with him. Reports suggest that the Ligue 1 champions will not let the relationship with the player drag on unless he signs the new deal he has publicly refused.

While Mbappe would undoubtedly be an excellent signing for United, the club is bound by Financial Fair Play regulations, and it is unlikely that they could afford to spend the reported £250 million transfer fee that PSG may demand for the player.

Additionally, the club has other positions to strengthen, such as goalkeeper, midfielder, and centre-back.

It remains to be seen how the Mbappe saga will unfold over the coming weeks. However, if United could secure the services of the Frenchman, it would be a significant coup for the club and could help them close the gap on their rivals in the Premier League and Europe.
