Manchester United consider SHOCK move for El Ghazi amid uncertainty over Antony & Sancho

Manchester United are considering signing Dutch winger Anwar El Ghazi on a free transfer due to uncertainty surrounding Antony and Jadon Sancho.

El Ghazi left PSV Eindhoven last week and would be available to sign outside the transfer window. The 28-year-old has played for Ajax, Aston Villa and Everton previously.

United manager Erik ten Hag is dealing with problems on the right wing. Antony has been placed on leave while allegations of assaulting three women are investigated. Sancho’s future is in doubt after publicly questioning ten Hag’s decision to drop him for the Arsenal game.

El Ghazi has other offers from Saudi Arabia but United could give him a Premier League return. Signing him shows how serious United are taking the Antony and Sancho situations, after spending £158m on the pair.

Ten Hag held talks with Sancho after the player branded the manager a liar on social media. Sancho’s message about being a scapegoat remains online. He faces an uncertain future after a loan to a Saudi club fell through.

Antony denied claims from his ex-girlfriend of assault on four occasions. He is fighting another allegation and revealed private messages from the accuser. Antony was dropped by Brazil and the cases will be decided in court.

The third woman alleges she needed hospital treatment after an incident with Antony and another woman leaving a nightclub last year. Antony denies any wrongdoing in this case.

United are weighing up options to address the uncertainty on the right wing caused by these off-field issues hanging over Antony and Sancho. El Ghazi could provide temporary cover as they seek to resolve the situations.
