Liverpool and Manchester United   are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) teenager El Chadaille Bitshiabu during the upcoming summer transfer window. The 17-year-old has emerged as one of the most promising defensive talents in Ligue 1 this season, having made the most of his first-team opportunities with PSG under Christophe Galtier.

According to Le10Sport, the rapid rise of Bitshiabu at PSG has caught the attention of several clubs, including Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt, while Manchester United and Liverpool have recently joined the race to sign the player. The young defender, who joined PSG from Boulogne-Billancourt’s academy in 2017, has appointed Jorge Mendes as his agent and could be offered to clubs in the near future.

Bitshiabu’s current deal with PSG is set to expire in 14 months, and with Milan Skriniar’s imminent arrival, the young defender’s first-team opportunities could be limited. A left-footed centre-back with heading and strength, Bitshiabu would be a solid bench option for Manchester United, as he could get considerable first-team minutes with the expected departure of Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, and Eric Bailly this summer.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are also in the market for a left-sided centre-back, and Bitshiabu’s ball-playing ability could make him an ideal fit in their 3-2-2-3 setup. The potential signing of Bitshiabu would add depth and competition to both Manchester United and Liverpool’s defensive options, making him a solid investment for the future.
