Liverpool fans paid a touching tribute to Roberto Firmino during their Premier League match against Leicester on Monday night. Despite the Brazilian forward not being in the starting line-up or coming off the bench, the away supporters sang his name and dedicated the ‘Si Senior’ chant to him for several minutes during the game.

Firmino, who will reportedly leave Liverpool for Barcelona this summer, walked over to the fans after the match to show his appreciation for their support throughout his time at the club. The fans responded with a rapturous round of applause, and the forward gestured a heart shape back to them with his hands.

Firmino joined Liverpool in 2015 from Hoffenheim for £29 million, and has since become a hero at the club. He has helped Liverpool win multiple titles, including the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup. He has scored many memorable goals, including a hat-trick against Arsenal in 2018 and an extra-time winner that secured Liverpool the Club World Cup in 2019.

Although Firmino has struggled to maintain a consistent run of form in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI this season, he has still made 360 appearances for the Reds, scoring 109 goals and joining an illustrious group of players to net over 100 goals for the club.
