Liverpool is targeting PSG midfielder Renato Sanches for a potential move in the upcoming summer transfer window. Sanches, who is a Portugal international, is believed to be one of the players that PSG is considering selling this summer.

Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, has reportedly been interested in Sanches for some time, and the club is now monitoring the situation closely.

PSG is reportedly planning to undertake a squad overhaul in the upcoming summer transfer window to reduce their wage bill.

This could involve the sale of several of their star players. One such player is Renato Sanches, who has struggled to meet expectations since joining PSG from Lille for €10 million.

Sanches has only been given seven starts across competitions this season, and has come off the bench on 17 occasions. Injuries have also played a significant role in his lack of playing time, causing him to miss a total of 20 games.

As a result of Sanches’ sudden availability, Liverpool is now said to be monitoring his situation, along with other midfield targets.

Although Jude Bellingham was reportedly Liverpool’s primary target for the summer, they have now ended their pursuit of the Englishman due to his high asking price.

Liverpool is now believed to be targeting Mason Mount, Alexis Mac Allister, Joao Palhinha, and Renato Sanches as their top midfield targets.

Renato Sanches had a forgettable loan spell in the Premier League with Swansea City in the 2017-18 season while on loan from Bayern Munich.

However, the 25-year-old midfielder managed to revive his career at Lille after joining the Ligue 1 side in 2019. Unfortunately, his move to Paris Saint-Germain has not gone as planned.
