Sergio Ramos Confirms Departure from PSG

Sergio Ramos has officially announced his departure from Paris Saint-Germain this summer as his contract comes to an end.

The experienced centre-back had joined PSG on a free transfer from Real Madrid and is expected to play his 58th match for the French club in their season finale against Clermont Foot on Saturday.

Speculations regarding Ramos’ future at PSG arose when he was not included in a graphic advertising the team’s pre-season tour of Japan. Later on Friday, it was confirmed that the 37-year-old Spaniard will leave the club in the upcoming weeks.

Expressing his gratitude, Ramos shared that wearing PSG’s Red and Blue shirt for the past two years has been a fantastic experience. He thanked the fans for their support and love, and said “Allez Paris!”.

In another tweet, Ramos shared that the next day would be special for him as he would be saying goodbye to PSG, which he described as one of the places where he felt at home.

PSG President, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, also expressed his appreciation for Ramos’ contribution to the team, highlighting his leadership, professionalism, and experience at the highest level, which made him a true football legend. He added that it was an honour to have Ramos in Paris, and everyone at the club wishes him well.

As of now, it is uncertain where Ramos will go next. However, there are reports that the veteran defender is being considered for a significant move to Saudi Arabia, possibly to join his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr.

Whatever his future holds, Ramos will always be remembered as one of the greatest defenders of his generation, with numerous titles to his name.
