Ronaldo Hat-Trick and Mane Brace Lead Al Nassr to First Win

A Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick and a brace by Sadio Mane led Al Nassr to its first league win of the season as it clinched a 5-0 win against Al Fateh at the Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Stadium on Saturday.

Al Nassr started brightly, enjoying early possession and took the lead in the 27th minute. Ronaldo and Mane combined as Mane found space through on goal courtesy of an exquisite flick from Ronaldo. One-on-one with the Al Fateh goalkeeper, Mane kept his composure to chip the ball into the net.

They grabbed their second in the 38th minute. This time Ronaldo found the net, heading in an accurate cross from Sultan Al-Ghannam.

Al Nassr continued to apply pressure in the second half. In the 55th minute Ronaldo scored his second, slotting home from close range after good work from Marcelo Brozovic and Abdulrahman Ghareeb.

Lucas Zelarayán went close for Al Fateh but his shot came back off the post. Al Nassr then broke at pace, Ronaldo setting up Ghareeb who crossed for Mane to head home his brace.

Feras Al-Buraikan missed a late chance for Al Fateh before Ronaldo capped his hat-trick in added time from Nawaf Boushal’s pullback.

The 5-0 win sees Al Nassr climb to 10th in the league table with their first three points of the season.
