The 2022/23 season marked a return to form for Rashford after a difficult 2021/22 campaign. He bounced back in impressive fashion, more than doubling his goal output from the previous term.

The 25-year-old England international was nominated for the PFA Vertu Motors Premier League Fans’ Player of the Month award on four separate occasions, winning it once.

To claim the yearly award, Rashford had to beat stiff competition from some of the Premier League’s top performers. Manchester City’s Erling Haaland finished as runner-up after breaking the record for most goals in a debut Premier League season.

Finishing third was Rashford’s international teammate Martin Ødegaard of Arsenal. Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka came in fourth, while Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne placed fifth. Former Tottenham striker Harry Kane, now at Bayern Munich, rounded out the top six.
