Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has put an end to rumours linking him with a summer move to Manchester United. The Englishman was attending the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix alongside teammates Reece James and Ben Chilwell when he was asked about the speculation during a Sky Sports interview.

Mount laughed off the question, saying he was just there to enjoy the race and had no intentions of leaving Stamford Bridge. The 22-year-old has been a key player for Chelsea this season, helping the club win the UEFA Champions League and secure a top-four finish in the Premier League.

While Mount’s future at Chelsea appears to be secure, he and his teammates are taking some time off to enjoy the summer break before returning for pre-season training ahead of the 2023-24 campaign. Attending the Spanish Grand Prix is just one of the many activities that the players are engaging in during their time off the pitch.

Mount, James and Chilwell have formed a close bond on and off the pitch, and their presence at the Grand Prix highlights their shared interests beyond football. The trio will undoubtedly be looking to recharge their batteries ahead of the new season, as Chelsea will be looking to defend their Champions League title and challenge for domestic honours.

For now, though, the players are enjoying some well-earned time away from football, and it is clear that they are making the most of it. While transfer rumours may continue to swirl around some of Chelsea’s star players, it seems that Mount is focused on his current club, and fans will no doubt be pleased to hear that he is not considering a move away anytime soon.
