Manchester United Welcoming Neighbours Manchester City to Old Trafford on Sunday

Manchester United will play host to local rivals Manchester City this Sunday at Old Trafford. United have won their last three matches against Brentford, Sheffield United, and most recently Copenhagen in the Champions League.

However, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side will be a stern test, having collected nine points from nine in their Champions League group so far. City have been in strong form while United have struggled of late, making this derby a big challenge for Erik ten Hag’s squad.

Casemiro Doubtful Through Injury

Ten Hag confirmed at his Friday press conference that influential midfielder Casemiro is a doubt for the Manchester derby after picking up an ankle injury on international duty with Brazil.

United narrowly defeated Copenhagen in their last match thanks to Harry Maguire’s goal and a crucial late penalty save from goalkeeper André Onana.

Several other United players like Shaw, Martínez, Malacia and Wan-Bissaka remain out injured. Meanwhile, winger Jadon Sancho has been left out of the squad due to personal issues with Ten Hag.
