Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, has disclosed that Marcus Rashford’s availability for the match against Bournemouth is uncertain.

Rashford, who is the team’s leading scorer, missed the previous game against Wolves and, although he returned to training this week, there are concerns that he may miss the Vitality Stadium match due to illness.
On a brighter note for Manchester United, Raphael Varane is confirmed to be fit and ready for selection, and Scott McTominay has returned to first-team training after being sidelined for six weeks due to injury.

Speaking on Friday, Erik ten Hag confirmed Varane’s availability, saying, “So a positive, Varane definitely available.” Regarding McTominay, he added, “Scott joined in training, when we find training will go well he will be in.”

If Rashford is unable to play due to illness, there is a possibility that Alejandro Garnacho may make his first start in over two months.

The 18-year-old recently returned from injury and scored a late goal after coming off the bench in the previous match against Wolves. He is being considered as a potential replacement for Jadon Sancho on the left wing.

It is unlikely that there will be any significant changes to the United lineup, as they aim to move closer to securing a top-four finish.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to start as the right-back instead of Diogo Dalot, and Anthony Martial is likely to retain his position as the striker.

Unfortunately, Marcel Sabitzer, Lisandro Martinez, and Donny van de Beek will remain sidelined and won’t be available for the remainder of the season.
