Manchester United have made their inaugural bid for Inter Milan’s goalkeeper Andre Onana, as per   Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla.

The Red Devils’ offer for the Cameroon international is said to be valued at €40m, with an added €5m in bonuses.

Numerous sources have stated that Manchester United have been in talks with Inter Milan regarding the goalkeeper’s potential transfer.

With uncertainty surrounding David de Gea’s future at Old Trafford, Erik ten Hag has prioritized the signing of Onana, prompting the Red Devils to make their initial significant move.

According to Pedulla, Inter Milan has no plans to accept Manchester United’s first offer for their goalkeeper.

The Serie A club is seeking a guaranteed sum of €50m, with attainable additional payments that would bring the eventual transfer fee up to €60m.

Negotiations will continue in an effort to reach a mutually acceptable agreement, as both sides are eager to find a solution – United is in the market for a contemporary goalkeeper while Inter is in need of funds.

Pedulla reports that Manchester United has identified multiple alternative transfer targets if a deal for Onana cannot be reached.

The Peoples Person has reported that Feyenoord’s Justin Bijlow is among the players being monitored by United.

However, Ten Hag is determined to reunite with Onana, with whom he had great success during their time at Ajax.

Inter Milan has not set a deadline, but they would prefer a resolution before July 20th. The decision now rests with Manchester United, who must decide whether to revise their offer for Onana or explore other options.
