The Athletic reports that the England international is close to finalising a move to the Hammers.

If Maguire does leave Old Trafford, L’Équipe says Manchester United will prioritise signing Pavard.

Despite interest from Juventus, the Red Devils have approached the France international recently. However, a formal bid has yet to be made.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is said to be keen on Pavard and has pushed for his signing. The Premier League club is expected to submit an offer in the coming days for around €30 million.

That is less than Nice’s asking price of around €40 million for Jean-Clair Todibo, another defender linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Pavard, 27, can play at center back or right back and has made over 200 appearances for Bayern Munich since joining from Stuttgart in 2019.

If signed, he could help shore up a Manchester United defence that struggled last season.
