Manchester United Another Unbelievable Striker to Team Up With Højlund?

We think Manchester United need to go all in for Brighton’s Evan Ferguson. The 18-year-old bagged a hat-trick over the weekend, a remarkable feat for anyone – let alone someone of his age.

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi had high praise for his forward following the game, saying ‘he can become a big, big but very big player’. We agree, and it makes you question whether United could team him up with Erik ten Hag’s project.

Evan Ferguson is Going Straight to the Top

Ferguson looks to be the most promising young striker in the Premier League right now. There’s a reason he’s rated so highly at Brighton and that’s because he will be the next big thing. If anyone reminds us of Ferguson, it’s a young Anthony Martial. To come into the Premier League, arguably the best league in the world, and score a hat-trick at just 18 is nothing short of remarkable.

We think under Brighton’s elite coaching and management, he’s only going to get better and better, which is a scary prospect.

He’s a United Fan

Erik ten Hag is instigating a philosophy into new United players – he wants them to play for the club. It’s been reported that Ferguson is a Manchester United fan, who idolises Wayne Rooney – whom we likened the forward to previously.

This would be absolutely perfect and follow in the direction Ten Hag is going. We’ve just seen Lisandro Martinez make the connection already established – could we persuade the Brighton forward into doing the same?

We’re Not Slanding Rasmus Højlund

Let’s get this straight, we aren’t slating Rasmus Hojlund. He’s barely kicked a football for us yet but looked very good against Arsenal. Nevertheless, with no backup striker, United will need to go in for someone and it’s evident that Ferguson looks like the next big thing.

He and Hojlund would both be projects United can nurture and maintain for years to come. He would cost a pretty penny, but goodness he looks a talent.
