Liverpool Football Club‘s non-international players are set to return to the AXA Training Centre on July 8, with their internationals reporting for duty on July 11. The club’s Under-21s and Under-18s have already returned for pre-season preparations, with some of the club’s young stars hoping to catch the eye of manager Jurgen Klopp and his assistant Pep Lijnders.

Last year, Kaide Gordon and Stefan Bajcetic made their mark during pre-season training, and this year, the likes of Bobby Clark, Ben Doak, Conor Bradley, and Tyler Morton will be looking to do the same. Under-21s captain Dominic Corness, Oakley Cannonier, Melkamu Frauendorf, and James Balagizi are also among the players hoping to impress.

Liverpool’s Academy is well-stocked with talented wingers, including Doak and Harvey Blair, which has resulted in the departure of Elijah Gift to Athletic Bilbao earlier this summer. Meanwhile, Calum Scanlon is attracting attention after joining the Reds from Birmingham City in a £500k deal in December 2020.

As the club prepares for the new season, Klopp and Lijnders will be keeping a close eye on their young prospects, with the hope of unearthing the next star to follow in the footsteps of Gordon and Bajcetic. With League Cup, FA Cup, and Europa League opportunities on the horizon, there is a chance for some of these young players to make their mark on the senior team.
