Liverpool are reportedly in talks with the agent of Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard, as they look to bolster their defensive options ahead of the new season. Pavard, who joined the Bavarians from Stuttgart in 2019, has made over 160 appearances for the club, helping them to four consecutive Bundesliga titles.

Liverpool are said to be among the clubs interested in Pavard, with the Reds hierarchy having already held discussions with the player’s agent. While Chelsea, Barcelona, AC Milan, and Inter Milan have also been linked with the defender in the past, Liverpool are currently viewed as the ‘hot candidate’ to secure his signature.

Pavard would be a valuable addition to Liverpool’s defensive ranks, with his versatility allowing him to play as both a centre-back and a right-back. The Frenchman’s experience at the highest level would also be a major asset to Jurgen Klopp’s side as they look to mount a title challenge next season.
