Liverpool have reportedly offered £21m for Andre

Liverpool have reportedly made a £21m bid for Fluminense midfielder Andre, as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his midfield options.

The 22-year-old Brazilian has played 144 games for the Serie A side since breaking into the senior squad in 2020. He is under contract until 2026 and Fluminense have recently turned down a £19m bid from Fulham.

Klopp is keen to strengthen his midfield after Jordan Henderson and Fabinho left the club for Saudi Arabian clubs in the summer. Other midfielders who have left Liverpool this summer include Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Naby Keita.

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, but the Saints have rejected an improved bid of £41m plus add-ons. The Saints value Lavia at £50m.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will be able to agree a deal for Andre, but Klopp is clearly keen to add to his midfield options ahead of the new season.
