Liverpool Eye Club-Record Deal for Sane as Salah Replacement

Liverpool have identified Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane as their top target to replace Mohamed Salah should he depart, according to a report in The Mirror.
The Reds are prepared to smash their transfer record fee to sign Sane from Bayern. Any deal for the Germany international would surpass the £64.2 million plus £21.4 million in add-ons that Liverpool paid Benfica for Darwin Nunez in 2022.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of Sane and wants to bring him back to the Premier League after his successful time at Manchester City, where he won two league titles, an FA Cup and three League Cups.
Salah has started the season in prolific form with five goals and four assists in eight league games.
However, it’s expected he could leave Liverpool in January to move to Saudi Arabia, having previously been the subject of a £150 million bid from Al-Ittihad in the summer. With less than two years left on his contract, his future at Anfield remains uncertain.
During his Liverpool career to date, Salah has made 315 appearances and scored 192 goals. Bayern would be reluctant to sell Sane, who has found the net six times in seven Bundesliga games so far this campaign.
