Jurgen Klopp has returned to the AXA Training Centre for the first day of Liverpool pre-season training, as the Reds look to bounce back from a disappointing campaign last season. The Liverpool manager was in high spirits as he arrived at the training ground on Saturday morning, eager to get started on preparing his team for the upcoming season.

Liverpool finished the 2020/21 season in fifth place, failing to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in five years, and suffering early exits from both domestic cup competitions and Europe. However, Klopp’s side ended the season on a high note with an 11-game unbeaten run, providing fans with optimism for the future.

This optimism has been further boosted by the recent signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, as part of a much-needed midfield overhaul. Klopp is clearly pleased with the new additions to his squad, and is looking forward to working with them as they prepare for the new season.

“Good morning!” Klopp beamed to Liverpool media staff as he arrived at the training ground, before playfully kissing the camera as he walked past. The Liverpool manager’s upbeat mood is a positive sign for fans, who will be hoping for a much-improved season from their team.

Liverpool have a busy pre-season schedule ahead of them, with games against Wacker Innsbruck and Stuttgart in Austria, before returning to England to face Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna. Klopp will be using these games to fine-tune his team ahead of their Premier League opener against Norwich City on August 14.

Overall, Klopp’s return to the AXA Training Centre signals the start of a new chapter for Liverpool, as they look to put last season’s disappointments behind them and challenge for trophies once again. With a refreshed squad and a determined manager at the helm, Liverpool fans can look forward to an exciting season ahead.
