Al-Ettifaq made a significant move in the Saudi Pro League standings after securing a 3-1 victory over Damak on Saturday. The win propelled them to fifth place in the league, marking their third triumph in five games this season.

Captain Jordan Henderson demonstrated his leadership qualities by providing two assists in the first half, guiding his team to a well-deserved victory. The match started with former Tottenham and Burnley winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou opening the scoring for Damak from the penalty spot after just seven minutes.

However, Al-Ettifaq quickly regained control in a thrilling first half, with Henderson setting up Moussa Dembele, known to British fans from his stints at Fulham and Celtic, twice within the first 25 minutes. Dembele’s goals turned the tide in Al-Ettifaq’s favor, giving them a 2-1 lead. The team’s dominance was further solidified when Hamdan Al Shamrani added a third goal in the 68th minute.

This victory brings Al-Ettifaq within three points of league leaders Al-Hilal after five matches. Steven Gerrard, the team’s manager, will be pleased with their progress and the strong performance displayed by his players on the pitch.
