Manchester United Close to Signing Andre Onana as Goalkeeper Search Continues

Manchester United are in advanced talks to sign Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Cameroon international has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Red Devils, with the two clubs now working on a fee.

However, United are also doing due diligence on other goalkeepers, including Justin Bijlow of Feyenoord and David Raya of Brentford, in case they cannot land Onana.

The club is also reportedly eyeing a move for Atalanta and Denmark striker Rasmus Hojlund for £50m. The 20-year-old has impressed since breaking into the Atalanta side last season and would provide competition for United’s current crop of forwards.

Meanwhile, United manager Erik ten Hag is looking to offload several players to balance the books. Among those reportedly up for sale are Alex Telles, Eric Bailly, Brandon Williams, Harry Maguire, and Scott McTominay.

West Ham is said to be interested in a move for midfielder McTominay, while the Hammers are also tracking Everton’s Amadou Onana.

In other transfer news,

Chelsea will have to pay more than £100m to sign Brighton and Ecuador midfielder Moises Caicedo, while Newcastle is preparing a surprise move for veteran Juventus centre-back Leonardo Bonucci.

Arsenal is closing in on a £38.5m deal for Ajax’s Jurrien Timber, with the Dutch full-back set to undergo a medical on Friday.

Tottenham midfielder Ivan Perisic has told his boss he wants to terminate his contract to join Hajduk Split, while Atletico Madrid has approached Spurs over midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Southampton is hoping to receive £50m for midfielder Romeo Lavia, with Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal all interested in the 19-year-old.

Crystal Palace’s hopes of re-signing Wilfried Zaha have been dashed, with the forward considering offers from Lazio, Fenerbahce, and Al-Nassr.

Fulham is close to agreeing on a new deal with free agent Willian, while Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic is on the verge of a £20m switch to AC Milan.

Leicester is willing to sell winger Harvey Barnes for £40m to fund a rebuild, with Newcastle, Aston Villa, and West Ham all interested.

Finally, West Ham is weighing up a move for Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria, as well as Fulham’s Joao Palhinha and Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse.

Wolves has turned down a £30m bid from Napoli for centre-back Max Kilman.
