Roberto Firmino, the Brazilian forward for Liverpool, has shown his generosity and appreciation for his friends, family, team-mates, and club staff by preparing 200 gift boxes for them before leaving the club. This comes as the striker prepares for his final match in a red shirt, after announcing earlier this season that he would be leaving the club and becoming a free agent when his contract expires in the summer.

Roberto Firmino scored in the last home game but Liverpool only took one point from Aston Villa

The leaving party at the stadium on Sunday was an emotional affair, with speeches delivered over a three-course meal. Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s manager, spoke highly of Firmino during the farewell dinner, describing him as a “really special player.” Klopp praised Firmino’s football intelligence, saying that he was the first to understand and execute the exercises during training sessions.

After the event, Firmino distributed the gift boxes to those in attendance, which included a signed shirt and a bottle of perfume, along with a mural of some of Firmino’s greatest achievements in a Liverpool shirt, before saying: “Thank you for being part of this story.” The boxes were a smart package and contained a specially created perfume by Firmino.

Firmino, who has scored 110 goals in 361 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool, has not yet announced his next move but talks with potential new clubs are expected to start soon. Despite interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona, Firmino has maintained his respect for Liverpool and has not considered other teams so far.

Firmino’s final outingat Anfield was a highly emotional moment, with the forward seen shedding tears as he said goodbye to the Anfield faithful. Since joining Liverpool from Hoffenheim in 2015, Firmino has established himself as a firm fan favourite, scoring many important goals, including a last-gasp winner in the 2019 Club World Cup and a hat-trick against Arsenal in 2018. This season, he has scored several crucial goals, including a late equaliser against Arsenal in April.

Firmino’s gesture of distributing gift boxes to those close to him before leaving Liverpool is a heartwarming display of his appreciation for the people who have been a part of his journey with the club. It is a testament to his character and shows the impact he has had on those around him during his time at Liverpool. Firmino’s departure from Liverpool will be a significant loss for the club, but his legacy will live on through his achievements and the memories he has created with the team.
