Manchester United are gearing up for a busy transfer window as manager Erik ten Hag looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the upcoming season.

The Red Devils are reportedly close to securing a deal for Inter Milan’s goalkeeper Andre Onana, but the Serie A giants are holding out for a fee of at least €60 million.

With David de Gea’s departure already confirmed, United have Dean Henderson and Tom Heaton at the club for the start of preseason games.

Both goalkeepers are expected to be part of the United squad that is set to play Leeds United on Wednesday in Oslo.

Henderson, who spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, is eager to be the No. 1 goalkeeper at a Premier League club, whether it be at his childhood club or elsewhere.

He is reportedly tired of playing second fiddle at Old Trafford and has made it clear that he wants to leave if he isn’t guaranteed the No. 1 spot.

If the Onana deal goes through as expected, Henderson will likely join Forest in a permanent deal worth up to £20 million.

Heaton, who is also attracting Premier League interest, may eventually make way if a deal for Japanese youth star Zion Suzuki is successful.

Additionally, there are plans to bring in Yann Sommer to add experience to the goalkeeping department.

In the midfield, Mason Mount is rumored to be coming in to address United’s conundrum. Meanwhile, the club is also reportedly pursuing Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.

The Red Devils will hope that these changes will make them a stronger side as they look to challenge for the Premier League title and make a deep run in the Champions League. With the transfer window still open for several more weeks, there could be more changes to come at Old Trafford.
