DEAL CLOSE? Mac Allister’s representatives were in advanced talks with Liverpool on Friday night

According to a report by TMW, Liverpool is very close to securing the signing of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton. Negotiations between Liverpool and Mac Allister’s representatives reportedly continued late into Friday night in order to finalize the agreement over personal terms.

Although the two clubs have had a verbal agreement in place for several weeks, it has been rumored that Brighton has been holding out for a fee of £70 million for the World Cup winner. However, the Italian source suggests that Liverpool may be able to acquire the midfielder for £60 million.

In addition to the transfer fee, Mac Allister is expected to earn an annual salary of £5 million, with the potential for bonuses.
