16 Reds Called Up for International Duty as Klopp Sees Squad Depart

Liverpool have seen 16 first-team players depart for international duty this month, along with a further 8 youngsters from the academy.
Jurgen Klopp has waved off the majority of his squad for the second international break of the season.
However, Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones and Joe Gomez are among 6 players left out of their national team squads.
Injuries rule out Cody Gakpo, Thiago, Caoimhin Kelleher, Stefan Bajcetic and Conor Bradley.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is the only Liverpool player in Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad, while Alisson is Brazil’s sole representative after Fabinho and Roberto Firmino’s omissions.
Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez will face off as Colombia take on Uruguay. Virgil van Dijk is set for two clashes with Reds teammates as Netherlands meet Ibrahima Konate’s France and Kostas Tsimikas’ Greece.
Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Wataru Endo are also on senior international duty this month.
At youth level, loanees Owen Beck and Tom Hill will represent Wales, while Harvey Elliott and summer signing Trey Nyoni are in the England U21 and U17 squads respectively.
With 16 first-team stars away, it will be a reduced group training at Kirkby over the coming weeks. Klopp will hope to welcome back his internationals fit and healthy ahead of a return to Premier League action.
