Sergio Reguilon Set for Manchester United Loan Move

Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon is set to join Manchester United on a season-long loan deal. According to sources, Tottenham have given Reguilon permission to travel for a medical ahead of finalizing the loan move before Friday’s transfer deadline.

Reguilon returns to Tottenham this season after spending the 2021-22 campaign on loan at Atletico Madrid. However, he is yet to feature for Spurs under new manager so far this season.

Manchester United have recently suffered injuries to their left-back options Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. The arrival of Reguilon will help ease their crisis in that position.

If the loan is completed before the deadline, Reguilon could be in line to make his Manchester United debut after the upcoming international break. United’s next match is at home against Brighton & Hove Albion on September 7th.

After an injury-disrupted season on loan at Atletico Madrid last year, Reguilon will be hoping for regular playing time at Manchester United to get his career back on track.

If the move goes through, it allows the 25-year-old Spanish international to gain valuable game time as he looks to re-establish himself at the highest level.
