The future of Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic at Juventus has become increasingly uncertain, as Real Madrid have reportedly joined Chelsea in the race to sign the talented forward.

According to reports from Italian outlet Corriere della Sera, Chelsea made an opening bid worth around €60million (£51.5m) for Vlahovic, but the offer was rejected by Juventus.

The report suggests that the Serie A giants may be willing to let go of the striker if their £77million asking price is met, which is £11million more than what they paid for him last year.

With Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri seemingly open to offloading Vlahovic, Real Madrid have also entered the fray and are exploring the possibility of signing the striker this summer, following the departure of Karim Benzema. Sky Sports, as quoted by Goal, reported the news.

Carlo Ancelotti, the Real Madrid manager, has reportedly made a phone call about the striker, adding to the speculation surrounding Vlahovic’s potential move to Los Blancos.

However, Chelsea may hold the upper hand in negotiations, as they could use striker Romelu Lukaku as leverage in a potential player-plus-cash swap deal.

Former Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic, in an interview with Tuttojuve, argued that Lukaku may be better suited to leading the line in Turin than Vlahovic.

Pjanic stated that while he likes Vlahovic and recognizes his potential, Lukaku’s experience and accomplishments make him a more suitable option for Juventus.

Vlahovic, who is only 21 years old, has already shown great potential during his time at Fiorentina, scoring an impressive 21 goals in 37 appearances last season.

However, he has yet to find the same level of success at Juventus, with only two goals in 20 appearances for the club.

As the transfer window heats up, it remains to be seen whether Vlahovic will stay at Juventus or move on to pastures new. With the interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea, the Serbian striker has several potential suitors, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
