This morning, Manchester United is set to commence their pre-season training, and it seems that the club is edging closer to making a decision regarding Mason Greenwood.

Although Erik ten Hag may have already been strategizing for the weeks ahead, the first set of players, including the recent addition of Mason Mount, will be returning to the Carrington training facility today.

Mason Greenwood won’t be showing up with the group this morning.

The 21-year-old was arrested in January 2022 on some pretty serious allegations, including attempted rape, assault, and controlling and coercive behavior.

The Crown Prosecution Service decided to drop those charges in February, which means Greenwood is a free man now, but there’s no way of knowing if he’s innocent or not.

Manchester United is currently carrying out an international investigation into the case to get a better understanding of the situation, but it’s doubtful they’ll uncover anything that the police haven’t already.
