Manchester United Eyeing €60m Move for La Liga Sensation

Manchester United have Takefusa Kubo in their sights for a 2024 move according to reports.

The young Japanese forward has excelled for Real Sociedad this season, following a breakout 2022/23 campaign where he helped them qualify for the Champions League.

Kubo has been in scintillating form so far this season, scoring 5 goals and assisting 2 more in 10 appearances while also being named La Liga’s Player of the Month for September.

His strong performances have evidently attracted interest, with Nacional reporting that Manchester United view him as a excellent option on the right wing given the underwhelming displays of Antony and Jadon Sancho recently.

Real Sociedad will be reluctant to sell Kubo, who has become a key player for them. They also have to consider Real Madrid’s sizable sell-on clause from when he initially moved to Spain.

However, United could force their hand by triggering Kubo’s €60 million release clause, which would allow the 22-year-old to leave despite Real Sociedad’s desire to keep him.
