Manchester United and Arsenal in battle for Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni
According to recent reports, both Arsenal and Manchester United are showing interest in signing Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni this summer.
Arsenal is reportedly looking to strengthen their midfield with the potential signing of West Ham captain Declan Rice.
The club is said to be finalizing a £105 million deal, with the payment structure being a point of negotiation between the two clubs.
The Gunners could also make a move for Tchouameni, especially after Madrid’s recent signing of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.
However, Manchester United is also monitoring the situation and could potentially hijack Arsenal’s transfer plans.
It is worth noting that Madrid acquired Tchouameni from Monaco last season for £85 million, after beating out United and Liverpool for his signature.
Croatian outlet Nacional has reported that United is still interested in the player and that their coach, Erik ten Hag, is pushing the club to make a deal for the French midfielder.
However, United’s recent £60 million accepted bid for Chelsea’s Mason Mount may limit their resources.
