Liverpool in competition with Barcelona to sign the Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich

Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich. The 28-year-old Germany international has been a key player for Bayern for several years, thanks to his versatility and ability to play both right-back and central midfield. Kimmich has contributed six goals and nine assists from 41 outings in the Bundesliga and Champions League during 2022-23.

While Bayern officials and head coach Thomas Tuchel are keen to keep Kimmich at the Allianz Arena, the midfielder has just over two years left on his contract and may be looking for a new challenge after eight years at the club. Barcelona have been linked with a move for Kimmich, but their complex financial situation may make it difficult for them to facilitate the transfer.

Nevertheless, with Klopp in need of further additions to his squad, Kimmich’s versatility and experience could make himan interesting target for Liverpool as they look to compete in the Premier League and in Europe next season.
