Liverpool’s pursuit of Juventus’ star winger Federico Chiesa seems to have reignited, with reports suggesting that the Premier League club is once again monitoring his situation. The 25-year-old Italian has been a key player for Juventus, scoring 22 goals and providing 20 assists in 94 appearances, but recent reports suggest that Chiesa is growing increasingly unhappy at the Allianz Stadium, potentially opening the door to a departure ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Liverpool had previously made an unsuccessful £86m bid for Chiesa after his impressive performances in Italy’s triumphant Euro 2020 campaign. However, Juventus held onto their talismanic winger despite the substantial offer. Now, with Chiesa potentially available this summer, Liverpool may have another chance to sign him for a sum within the range of €35m (£30m) and €45m (£38.5m).

But Liverpool is not the only club interested in Chiesa. Both Newcastle United and Bayern Munich have reportedly shown interest in the Italian star, with the latter already making inquiries about his availability. Chiesa has bounced back from a serious injury that blighted his 2022 season, making 33 appearances, scoring four goals and providing six assists in the 2022-23 campaign for Juventus.

Despite his impressive performances, Chiesa’s time at Turin appears to be drawing to a close, with Juventus reportedly scouting for potential replacements. Among the identified targets are Galatasaray’s Nicolo Zaniolo and Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto.

Chiesa has also found a place in Roberto Mancini’s Italy squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League finals, where they will face Spain in a thrilling semi-final contest. With Chiesa potentially on the move, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Bayern will be keeping a close eye on his performances in the tournament.
