Erik ten Hag receives injury boost as Rashford and Lindelof return to training ahead of Copenhagen clash

Erik ten Hag received a double injury boost ahead of Manchester United’s Champions League match against Copenhagen, as Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof returned to training.

Rashford missed United’s Premier League win over Fulham after failing a late fitness test due to a knock sustained in training. However, he rejoined full team training, providing Ten Hag with a boost as they prepare to face Copenhagen.

Defender Victor Lindelof, who also sat out the Fulham game due to illness, was also present at training.

United need to win against Copenhagen to boost their chances of progression from the group stage. They defeated the Danish side 1-0 at Old Trafford two weeks ago after losing their opening two Group E matches.

Former United captain Gary Neville weighed in on Rashford’s controversial decision to celebrate his birthday publicly shortly after the Manchester derby defeat. Neville said nights out would have been cancelled had he lost a match during his playing days. Both Neville and Ten Hag consider Rashford’s actions a mistake.
