Manchester United News :-
On the night that David De Gea’s mistake cost Manchester United, Erik ten Hag expressed his desire for the goalkeeper to extend his contract with the club.
Despite the gaffe, De Gea has the most clean sheets in the Premier League, and Ten Hag believes that Manchester United wouldn’t be in their current position without him.
Although there have been reports that De Gea may need to take a pay cut to stay at United, Ten Hag insisted that there are no concerns and called on the team to show character, resilience, and bounce back from the mistake.
He also referenced Luke Shaw’s handball at Brighton which led to another loss for United.
Regarding the race for Champions League football, Ten Hag emphasized that it’s about Manchester United and their own performance rather than Liverpool.
The loss to West Ham has made the top-four race more competitive for United, as Liverpool is now only one point behind them.
West Ham’s win against Manchester United has brought them closer to safety in the Premier League, and David Moyes believes that it will be difficult for other teams to catch up.
Captain Declan Rice also expressed his delight with the team’s performance and the much-needed victory in front of their home fans.
Despite the win, he acknowledged that there is still more work to be done, with a Europa Conference League semi-final against an opponent, followed by a trip to Brentford in the Premier League.
